Rex is a fulltime dad and writer of genre-bending fiction. Educated at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, he decided—with three college credits remaining to complete his Bachelor’s in Rhetoric and Writing—to forsake the paperwork and begin a career in creative writing (which, by the way, was his minor). He’s glad he did. As life would have it, AI can now do anything a technical writer can do. Usually better, and faster, but fails—and hard—when attempting to decipher the nuances of human experience.
During his stint in academia, he was enshrined in the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, and another academic achievement club he can’t remember about.
Rex published poems in two publications including here and here. His debut novel Of Dan’s Design was released in April of 2026 and enjoyed success in several Amazon bestseller categories, including top spots in Absurdist Fiction and Humorous Literary Fiction. He recently completed the first draft of his next project, tentatively-titled Billy’s Choice—scheduled for a mid-October 2026 release.
When not writing, Rex can be found with his son. They enjoy time with their dog Mr. B, their hamster Drizzle, playing video games (Geometry Dash and World of Warcraft), and telling jokes (little Rex has a good one about fart beans).
Rex is always up for casual discourse about life, love, and the insanity of it all—or any form of time/effort reciprocation.
